Giving back to Alma mater’s Neediest
International gospel artiste, John Lucas Barrett is heading to Jamaica for a series of concerts to be held in Kingston at the Karram Speid Auditorium and in Mandeville at Northern Caribbean University Gymnatorium on December 5 and 6, 2015, respectively.
The event, which is endorsed by the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica and the Embassy of Jamaica in Japan, will feature Barrett who is a Japan-based Jamaican and past student of Northern Caribbean University and the JL Gospel Family, a 35-member choral group of Japanese singers and musicians, all of whom are coming to Jamaica for this event at their own expense. Selected local gospel artistes will also be appearing on the programme.
According to NCU’s VP of University Relations, Yvonne Bignall, all of the proceeds from the shows will benefit students who are having challenges to finance their education at Kingsway High School and Northern Caribbean University, John’s former high school and university. Part Proceeds will also go towards the Community Services department of the Mandeville Seventh-day Adventist Church.Tickets are available for $800 pre-sold and $1,000 at the gate (students with Identification pay $500 at the gate) and may be secured in Kingston at Kingsway High School at 10-12 Osbourne Rd, Kencot, and the East Jamaica Conference Office located at 74 Constant Spring Rd.
In Mandeville, get tickets from Fontana and Three Angels Pharmacies; on the NCU campus at the University Bookstore and Gift Centre, the Human Resource department and the Office of the Vice President, University Relations.
